I made eggplants!

They are kind of long and skinny and I don't think they are supposed to be, but of course the label is long gone. I guess that's why nerd gardeners keep journals.

  1. I'm pretty sure they are the Japanese variety-I don't like as well as the rounder, fatter ones either--but they look good and as far as I know can be prepared the same. Sounded like a fun time at the ball game--thanks for the details(especially menu!!!)

  2. Mostly I use the skinny eggplants to hit Jeffrey with. They are kind of bat like and thus lend themselves to spousal torture.

  3. Long and skinny are great for grilling ... split 'em in half, brush with some olive oil, get some char marks on them over coals then move off & cook with indirect heat until tender.

    Yum! (it's Ann BTW)

  4. Wish we had a grill ... maybe I could do the same thing under the broiler?
